We are establishing one of the world’s first nationwide refuelling networks – coming online in New Zealand throughout 2021. Together with our partners, we are bringing the fuel cell technology to New Zealand to further unlock the hydrogen opportunity and utilise this country-first infrastructure.
We are working with regional and national government, Māori, leading transport operators and industry to provide zero emission hydrogen capability for New Zealand’s commercial and heavy transport sectors. This includes the development of a renewable hydrogen hub in South Taranaki, in a Joint Venture with Ballance Agri-Nutrients. This $60million showcase project will install the country’s largest wind turbines, provide clean hydrogen fuel for heavy transport, as well as create green ammonia and urea for industry from local renewable resources - a catalyst for the development of a sustainable green hydrogen market in New Zealand.
