The Association was pleased to take the opportunity to offer a submission regarding the Transitioning to a low-emissions and climate resilient future discussion document.

In brief, the association is aware of, and acknowledges the crucial need of addressing the climate crisis by employing clear targets, guidelines and plans as we move forwards.

This is one of a number of submissions based on recent consultation focused on reducing emissons that the Association has supported, including the Productivity Commission’s Low-emissions Inquiry, the Electricity Price Review, MBIE’s Accelerated Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Discussion Document, the Zero Carbon Bill, and ETS Reform. We have also engaged with the Interim Climate Change Committee and responded to the Climate Change Commission’s draft advice.
