Weather Forecasting & the Electricity Sector

This workshop looked at the role of weather forecasting in the evolution of the electricity market, including variable renewables, demand-side response, load forecasting, and forecast vs actual price.

NPSREG Workshop

Old Town Hall, Wellington

Councils and business dedicate significant effort into preparing regional policy statements, and regional and district plans. This day provided an opportunity for local government staff and councillors to freely and frankly discuss issues with implementing the National Policy Statement for Renewable Electricity Generation, and wider RMA policy and energy issues.
