NZWEA holds a variety of events and activities throughout the calendar year. The feature event is our annual New Zealand Wind Energy Conference and Exhibition, however, we also run workshops throughout the year and provide local activities for Global Wind Day in June.

Below is a diary of upcoming events that may be relevant for those interested in the wind energy sector.

If you are a member you can also check out our past events, including papers from past conferences and workshops.

Waverley Wind Farm

Trustpower has sought resource consent to build a 48 turbine 130MW wind farm in South Taranaki.

The wind farm would cost $325m to build and generate 490GWh of electricity a year which, based on average residential consumption, would produce the same amount of electricity as used by over 65,000 homes.
