NZWEA has various membership categories to suit individual and varied organisational needs.
JOIN
New Zealand Wind Energy Association
Join the New Zealand Wind Energy Association Incorporated (NZWEA) and be part of the energy transition to a low carbon future. There are 4 categories of membership based on the size of your organisation. Member benefits include:
- Advocacy and Influencing Energy Policy – Members can actively participate in consultations and advocacy discussions that shape government policy on energy and environmental reforms that under-pin the wind energy sector.
- Networking and Events – Attend exclusive NZWEA speaker events, including attendance at the annual wind energy summit at discounted rates and receipt of preferential sponsorship opportunities.
- Market Intelligence – Members can receive valuable insights via NZWEA’s industry research organisations and NZWEA’s market intelligence (domestic and international) activities.
- International Collaboration – Leverage NZWEA’s relationships with numerous organisations such as the Global Wind Energy Council, the World Wind Energy Association, China NZ Council and other industry advocacy groups.
- Business Development & Promotion – NZWEA can help you connect with other NZWEA members to promote your business. We can also provide members with the opportunity to feature their respective businesses and ideas via NZWEA’s web site, industry newsletters and social media platforms, and increase member visibility.
NZWEA Membership Categories are:
CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP
Corporate membership is for companies with 500 or more employees. A Corporate Member receives all rights and privileges of NZWEA and has a right to exercise a vote at a General Meeting and also be nominated and/or accepted to the Board. Each Corporate Member receives 1 vote per company.
The annual corporate membership fee is $7,085 plus GST.
SENIOR ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
Senior Associate membership is for companies with 100 to 499 employees. A Senior Associate Member receives all rights and privileges of NZWEA and has a right to exercise a vote at a General Meeting and also be nominated and/or accepted to the Board. Each Senior Associate Member receives 1 vote per company.
The annual membership fee is $3,106.50 plus GST.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
Associate membership is for companies with more than 1 employee but less than 100 employees. An Associate Member receives all rights and privileges of NZWEA and has a right to exercise a vote at a General Meeting and also be nominated and/or accepted to the Board. Each Associate Member receives 1 vote per company.
INDIVIDUAL MEMBER
Individual membership is for a person that is an individual or a Company with 1 employee or less. Individual Members have no voting rights or duties but have access to all benefits provided NZWEA at its discretion.
The annual individual membership fee is $180 plus GST.
HONORARY MEMBER
Honorary Membership is a person honoured at the sole discretion of the Board for meritorious and enduring services to the Society. Honorary Members have no voting rights or duties but have access to all benefits provided NZWEA at its discretion.
MEMBERSHIP PERIOD
The annual membership term runs from 1st April to 31st March each year. New members joining on or after the 1st October of a given year will pay a remaining pro-rata portion of the annual fee.
