Tēnā koutou katoa,
We are pleased to announce that registrations are now open for the 2025 New Zealand Wind Energy Summit.
The event will be held on 26-28 August at Te Papa Museum, Wellington.
This year’s summit theme, “Energy Security: The Power of Diversification,” highlights the crucial contribution that wind energy plays towards our energy security needs.
As more wind farms are commissioned across the motu, wind turbines spin at different times depending on their location. When the wind doesn’t blow in some locations, it blows in others. This diversified profile ensures that wind energy plays its part to deliver reliable clean energy to the grid at all times.
The summit will examine how onshore and offshore wind energy fits within a flexible generation mix, mitigating risks from a single generation source dependency. We will also traverse the importance of domestic growth capability, international investor confidence, supply chain opportunities, operations & maintenance best practices, innovative technical developments and the importance of regulation certainty.
In a world of increasing climate volatility, geopolitical instability, and growing electricity peak demand, energy security has become a national priority.
Current financial NZWEA members are eligible for a 20% summit discount by using the member coupon-code during registration. To obtain the coupon code, please email Kira@nzwea.org.nz.
Sponsor and exhibitor packages are also available, which can be viewed and purchased via the conference website.
We look forward to hosting you at the New Zealand Wind Energy Summit 2025.
