Guest Speaker: Lloyd Clark, Environmental and Sustainability Design Manager, Meridian Energy
Lloyd Clark is a key Environmental & Sustainability Design Manager at Meridian Energy, overseeing environmental compliance for major renewable energy projects. Lloyd will outline Meridian’s repowering project at Te Rere Hau wind farm which replaces the existing 91 wind turbines with 39 larger, more efficient units. The project will result in the wind farm capacity increasing from 46 MW to 170 MW, representing Aotearoa New Zealand’s first utility grade repowering project. With recycling and sustainability sitting at its core, Lloyd will traverse the various initiatives being undertaken on this project.
Lloyd is a Chartered environmental engineer (CEnv) and environmental Fellow (FIEMA) with 24 years of experience in environmental & sustainability engineering & management, predominantly for the energy sector. Lloyd has previously worked on large scale energy and eco-development projects in Africa, Asia and the Middle East and has been based in New Zealand since 2014.
