Map of Operational Windfarms in New Zealand

Currently there are eight wind farms, with a total installed capacity of 321.8 MW, throughout New Zealand. Combined, the wind farms produce enough clean, green, sustainable electricity to meet the needs of about 145,000 average New Zealand households.

The latest NZ wind farm to open is White Hill in Southland. Its 29 turbines have a capacity of 58MW. The location of each wind farm is shown on the map below.
