Fact Sheet 7 - Landowners and farmers

This fact sheet has been compiled to answer questions that are commonly asked by landowners and/or farmers, that are thinking about installing a wind turbine on their land. It provides answers to the following questions;

- How much land is required?
- How much rent is paid and how are payments made?
- What agreements are needed?
- What are the impacts during the construction period?
- Can wind farming and traditional farming, co-exist?
- How are farming operations impacted after the construction phase is completed (i.e. during operations)?
